3 Ways K&W Can Help Boost Your Immune System

3 Ways

  1. Scratch Cooking

You may have heard us mention before that much of K&W’s food is made-from-scratch daily. We want to provide our patrons with the best food possible, so it’s no surprise we make fresh food daily from the freshest ingredients available. Real food is free of harmful chemicals and additives and is as close to its natural state as possible. Let K&W help you make the switch from processed foods to a healthier alternative.

  1. Make Healthier Choices

Help boost your immune system by not dragging yourself down with loads of fat and calories. We know with the holiday season, it’s hard to cut back. But a new year, means a fresh start and K&W can help start your new year off right.

K&W has partnered with the Heart Center Dining Program of Wake Forest Baptist Health to develop recipes lower in fat grams, sodium, and calories; just look for the little heart icon on the menu during your next visit. K&W also offers low-sugar desserts, so you can still satisfy that sweet tooth without all the extra sugar! We also make our nutritional information readily available for those wanting to find the best options.

  1. Eat More Fruits & Veggies

K&W is proud to say we buy local whenever possible to bring our customers the freshest fruits and vegetables.  In North Carolina, we belong to the state’s “Got To Be NC” Products program, promoting local agricultural products.   Many people don’t get enough of the fresh fruits and vegetables their bodies need. These essential foods contain fiber, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, etc. that our bodies need to run properly. If you aren’t getting 5-13 servings of fruits and veggies each day, you are more susceptible to illnesses such as colds and the flu.

So, on your next trip to K&W, be sure to load up your plates with items like fresh collard greens, broccoli, crisp apples, juicy oranges, or various other flavorsome and healthy produce items that K&W offers.
