Help us find the Solider who sent this letter to K&W!
We were all moved by this letter, sent to us by a soldier overseas, who’s hoping to come home for Christmas. We are so grateful that this soldier was so far away and was still thinking of us! We want an opportunity to thank them in person, for these kind words and sentiments. The signed name is hard to make out, so we need your help to find them!
Please share this post with friends until we find this very gracious soldier, so we can give him or her a Merry Christmas from their K&W Family!
The letter reads:
First thing, I miss you guys so much! I have enjoyed growing up, getting to come to eat at your restaurant. When my grandparents ask where do I want to eat, the first thing that comes out of my mouth is “K&W!” K&W has always been a place where you are greeted with a smiling face, and “Hey, nice to see you. How are you?”
I remember coming to K&W when it first opened, and I remember where the soda fountain is on the serving line, in its place there was a big ice cooler with can sodas and cartons of milk. Your sweet tea is second to none! They sell this tea over here brought down from Italy. It’s just not the same!
The country style steak is still my favorite. The yam souffle is going to be one of the dishes served by the Lord at the ‘Great Supper.’
Thank you guys for all you have done for me and my family. it is very much appreciated, and not forgotten! Me and the Unit I’m with (the638th ASB out of Morrisville, NC) have been in Kuwait since February. They’re hoping to get us home by December, hopefully January. I’ve learned never count on dates the Army puts out. It’s been hot, but its now starting to cool down a little. The past months, the average temperature has been over 120 degrees F during the day, and low 90’s at night. Can’t wait to get back home and enjoy some delicious food and southern hospitality at K&W!
