Loretta Coleman celebrates 52 years at K&W!

best places to work in nc

Loretta Coleman joined the K&W team 52 years ago in Winston Salem, NC. Our appreciation for employees like Loretta runs deep. It’s our employees that keep our cafeterias running successfully. As a family-owned business since 1937, we can confidently say our ‘secret’ is the family-oriented environment that keeps customers and employees coming back. It is not unusual for our employees to spend many years with us, if not their whole career.

Loretta says her secret is always going above and beyond. She takes pride in not choosing ‘down time’ over something like fixing the display or restocking the line. She started with the company rolling silverware, and has since learned every job the cafeteria has to offer! In any given day, you can see working hard in all sections of the kitchen, but prefers to work in take-out.

We asked her for some wisdom to share with the future generations of K&W employees. Her answer was simple:

“I’ve never been one to say ‘that’s not my job.’ Whatever it is, just make sure it’s done. Also, a nice personality will go a long way.”
-Loretta Coleman

Well, congratulations Loretta on a long, successful career so far! We look forward to many more years with you as a part of our K&W family!

Congratulations on your successful lifestyle of continued employment with a fine employer as I am sure K & W is because I’ve eaten at lots of different K & W restaurants from Winston to Myrtle and I’ve always noticed the high caliber people working there. I salute your commitment! Hope you stay 52 more years. God bless.

I am so proud of Loretta’s commitment to excellence and her employer.

I want to be proud of her employers commitment to her as a responsible organization and one that values its team members.

Does she have health benefits and does she have a 401k that has a robust matching program and other important retirement benefits?

I would to hear about that story as well!
